Hey everyone, since it doesn't seem to be discussed here, I figured I would make a post discussing the Gun4IR. To date I have built 4 of them and can discuss or assist anyone if you'd like to build your own. Merchants are supported with the Bravo Systems Platform, which enables stores to sell you items with the highest level of customer service in mind. Best price, best delivery, and best communication is the heart of Bravo’s Platform. Merchants can offer you 100% of their inventory real-time 24/7. This means their unique items are available beyond the four walls of their store. When that has finished then you load lr-pcsx-rearmed as usual. Then on the menu under options you can change Pad 1 Type to "guncon". You need a mouse based lightgun like the Aimtrak or a Dolphin bar or my upcoming Sinden Lightgun.

If I try the Guncon 3 on my 65" TV am I going to have any issues? Instructions say 50" max... (and even on my 49" in my game room the left/right sensor are a good 6" shy of the edges of the TV before the wire length runs out). The sensors on the GC3 don't cover the screen. They are positioned above it and on either side on mine. They were designed for an age where screen had a decent size bezel. Some GunCon 2 (PS2) games are compatible with the original GunCon, unless the game utilizes the extra buttons on the GunCon 2. I've got button presses being registered, but no cursor movement so i can't configure the gun.. The bar is working as the gun still works fine in mame games..Meant to complete this ages ago but I have finally added Guncon lightgun support to PCSX-Rearmed so you can now play all your favourite Lightgun games on the Raspberry Pi. The Guncon 3 is the only home gun I have used that is genuinely accurate enough for line of sight aiming. It's not quite as good as the Guncon 2 on a CRT but it's not far off. Accuracy is comparable with the Time Crisis 4 arcade which is not surprising as it uses the same gun tech. Yes what ever happened to Time Crisis 5 anyway. I remember trailers and then nothing. I'd love a Guncon 4, this time get it right, and release this on the PS4, would be great. The Guncon 3 uses two sensors . The Wii remote and Aimtrak use one. With this type of CCD gun, the more sensors the better. The tech inside the TC4 arcade gun is essentially the same as in a GC3 but the arcade uses 10 sensors positioned all around the screen. Over on Wii, however, the genre was thriving. Endless plastic gun-shaped shells for the Wii remote filled every bargain bin in the land. But the Wii Light guns had an open secret: they weren’t quite right. The Wii solution worked like a mouse pointer, which meant that rather than aiming on instinct, you dragged a cursor around the screen. The cursor wasn’t even that accurate to where you were actually aiming, and that meant the magic light gun feeling of being a sharpshooter, a veritable Clint Eastwood - was gone. You were a guy moving a laser pointer around.

In all honesty, aside from the Razing Storm disc and the HOtD discs, I think the Wii is slightly better for shooting games with onscreen crosshairs (I have both). The Wii has a bunch of old Sega Arcade shooters like Ghost Squad and LA Machine Guns / Gunblade (2 games on one disc) etc.

How to Buy a Gun Online

You'll know straight away if you choose the wrong USB port because the crosshairs (on the calibration screen) will be jumping all over the place and / or it won't register any of your shots (in calibration). In this scenario, just switch them around. Then choose the "precise calibration". Not sure why they offer "basic calibration" as precise only takes a few seconds... Taiyaki wrote:Guess I have to try the guncon 3 again cause clearly I never calibrated it properly. The thing was about as accurate as a wiimote. MrLightgun ok so retroarch is 1.7.6, my Lr-FCEUM says at the bottom of the retroarch screen the following: You can go really simple and just build a basic gun or you can add rumble and recoil as well as some other features. What types of games have suffered a painful decline to the point where the genre barely exists any more? Brawlers, perhaps - Final Fight’s characters now live inside Street Fighter, and attempts to revive Golden Axe have stalled - though one could argue a certain breed of 3D character action game is descended from them, and last year we had a solid revival in Streets of Rage 4. Arcade sports games feel to have fallen out of the mainstream - indie efforts appear from time to time, but I wonder if we’ll ever get a game like NBA Jam, Red Card Football, or NFL Blitz ever again.
