Description

Chilli vodka is a unique spirit that infuses the heat of chilli peppers into the smoothness of vodka. With this inconsistency in heat, instructing people to make a batch of Chilli Vodka just as I say is dangerous territory:

glass bottles, or storagecontainers, for bottling and serving, you can either use the glass Jaryou used before, or just buy a second one. In general, always choose the freshest chili peppers for your infusions. Dried chili peppers also work great. Wash the peppers and slit them lengthwise so they do not float. You can also chop them into smaller pieces for a stronger infusion. Both the red and green liqueurs are 40% ABV and are popular for adding a bit of spice to classic drinks like a margarita or a Paloma. Taste, taste and keep on tasting. Stop when it’s hot enough for you, regardless of whether that’s one hour or 12 hours of infusing Chili Pepper infused alcohol is great for mixed drinks like the famous Bloody Mary, Michelada, or the wonderful Margarita, though they also work great to incorporate into sauces and other meals.Ancho Reyes and Ancho Reyes Verde are handcrafted using chillies native to Puebla. Time-honoured techniques are used for making menjurjes mastered by artisans in 1920s Puebla. For Ancho Reyes Original, chillies are sun-dried for between 15 to 20 days to become ancho chillies. The dried chillies develop a rich, smoky, and fiery flavour. Our poblano chillies are cultivated in the volcano-enriched soils of Puebla. After harvest, the soil is rested for three years before itgrows chillies again. The ancho chillies used in Ancho Reyes Original, are scissor-sliced by hand, a painstaking, time-consuming process that ensures that we use only the finest chillies. Each bottle is inspected individually, then hand labelled according to tradition. Last year we chose to enjoy the drams of bourbon 2 at a time. Each dram was split into 2 servings, so that we could sample several bourbons side by side and identify the differences. It was quite a delightful and eye-opening experience. Add all other ingredients, including a large handful of ice to the shaker, then secure the lid and shake vigorously for 30-40 seconds. The chili peppers will eventually sink and your infused alcohol will be ready for consumption in anywhere from several hours to 3 or 4 weeks. How Long Should I Steep the Peppers in Alcohol?

An almond, mezcal and Chartreuse Margarita, the Dragon Punch gets its name from the two dashes of fire-breathing TABASCO Sauce that complements mezcal’s natural smokiness. pop your serving glass into the freezer for 15 minutes just before serving. This will allow you to serve your coffee martini deliciously chilled It’s fair to say that there have been massive innovations in the world of reusable drinks cups over the last decade. And it’s so good to see.Step 2: Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 30-40 seconds until the drink is ice cold and wonderfully frothy And of course, getting an unusually fiery chilli might mean that a long infusion is a little too punchy to be pleasant A London classic, the Spicy Fifty uses honey, vanilla vodka and lime juice to tame the chilli spice which still comes through gently from the slices muddled in the base of the shaker. Chili Liqueur

A good amount of time to infuse your alcohol with peppers is 3 days to 1 week. The longer you let the peppers steep in the alcohol, the more chili pepper flavor and heat you will get, though eventually, the peppers can begin to break down if they are left in long enough. If using regular vodka with vanilla extract, around ¼tsp of extract should suffice – vanilla can be overpowering in large quantities Welcome to the scintillating world of the alcohol Advent calendar, a concept so fundamentally festive that Santa’s elves have been harshly disciplined for having never thought of it. Doing exactly what it says on the tin, this genre of Advent calendar comprises selections of booze designed to be enjoyed day by day in the lead up to Christmas (or, alternatively, chained one after the other on the day it gets delivered). This is it. If you like, it’s a coffee martini livened up with the warming and sweet, yet spicy, flavour profile of Anchos Reyes chilli liqueur.Using passion fruit syrup and hot sauce to bring this ultra fresh orange Margarita to life, you’ll find the blend of heat and mild citrus a great twist to the usual lime-driven spicy Margaritas. This is a great example of the additional sweetness working well with spice. Confession: two days previously I made a video for meringues. It was a hopeless mess. It was even worse than my first video. Vile. Pathetic. Humiliatingly atrocious. In fact, I’d categorise it as so bad I may just trash it. Me and videos – not naturals together. So making this – somewhat more visually pleasing video – was a major achievement for me. This is my new benchmark. You can do this at home. The process is very similar to infusing vinegar with chili pepper heat and flavor. I’ve been very impressed with my TKWide mug from Klean Kanteen. This drinks mug is vacuum insulated, so my beverage can stay hot (or cold) for hours (big improvement). And I can seal the lid firmly, so I have no leaks to worry about when I’m on the go.
